In an intuitive flow of sensory interaction with clay, water, Earth pigments and wildflower seeds, all gathered in the landscape, I formed a series of 24 ephemeral wildflower seed vessels. During a ceremonial performance, I returned the clay vessels to where they belong; the awe-inspiring landscape at The Cradle Of Humankind, South Africa. There they will be claimed by the elements and slowly melt back into Earth to grow into a wildflower meadow. With an estimated 10million trees, Johannesburg’s lush canopy is threatened by a deadly beetle infestation and climate change; an urgent call to plant new trees. In a sensory interaction with clay, water, Earth pigments and tree &amp; wildflower seeds gathered in the streets of Johannesburg, I brought alive a series of ten Wabi Sabi inspired ephemeral seed vessels in UNIFORMs concept store window during&nbsp; a live installation. She was part of pioneering the sustainable fashion movement alongside a group of beautiful ambitious peers, all reaching for a new alternative world using fashion as a vehicle to forge change.She created sustainable textile and fashion brand Choolips in 2006 working with textiles artisans across West &amp; East Africa and India. Her collections told stories fueled by nature’s beauty, forged social change and opened doors for Sustainable and African made fashion to global audiences in collaboration with major retailers such as Topshop, Asos.com, Opening Ceremony, Steven Alan and many more. She was awarded ‘Royal Designers for Industry Scholarship’; ‘Young Fashion Entrepreneur of 2009 - British Council’; ‘Barclays Innovative Business 2008’.
