“Abundance is not held in the name of a thing or in ideas of ample quantities that we attach to affluence, but in the flow of life, in its riches of mind, body and soul in reciprocity with the creative energy of nature and the universe.” Annegret Affolderbach

>>MOMO Outskirts paper . ’on the daydream meadow’ // a conversation about the work<<

‘Daydream Meadow’ is a living ecological artwork created during an intimate sensory encounter with a magnificent Highveld landscape in South Africa. In an intuitive flow of sensory interaction with clay, water, Earth pigments and wildflower seeds, all gathered in the landscape, I formed a series of 22 ephemeral wildflower seed vessels.

During a ceremonial performance, I returned the clay vessels to where they belong; the awe-inspiring landscape at The Cradle Of Humankind, South Africa. There they will be claimed by the elements and slowly melt back into Earth to grow into a wildflower meadow.

A circular act.
